1993 saw the release of ARCH RIVAL's 2nd CD, “Wake Up Your Mind”.
Michael was striving for more depth in his writing for AR’s sophomore record, and Steve’s lyrics reflected that as well. This resulted in a darker and more “metal” record, which actually expanded the band’s fanbase and landed them 3 deals overseas.
“Meadowlands of the Mind”, “Vampire Woman”, and “Fly Away With Me” are some standout tracks on this stellar release, which also features some of Michael’s best solos ever. “WUYM” is also the favorite AR offering of Michael’s brother (and world renowned drummer) Brian Harris.
