Michael formed SURGEON in 1995 with vocalist Len Jarrell in the heat of Dallas, Texas as they shared the common vision of a brutally heavy, surgically precise, and technically challenging style of music. Just a little more than a year later, this vision became a stunning reality on their debut CD, "Encyclopedia of the Insane". This masterpiece of ferocity combines the potency of both the great heavy and progressive bands of this generation with SURGEON’s own undeniably unique signature permeating throughout.
